The Miami Heat will have the cap to get the big deal done and a few more things if they choose.

You Want To Talk About Cap Space, Don’t You?

Miami does not want to upset one of the faces of the franchise. He was and is the future of the franchise, but it starts now and they had to show him.

Now, I am not dumb enough to realize that if Adebayo would have waited until next offseason, it would have been better for Miami’s ability to sign a max free agent with less difficulty.  You have to keep your own before you go out to try signing someone who is not guaranteed to sign with you in the first place.

That part, I get but Miami has the best front office in the league. Are we forgetting what this front office did last year?

When Miami had no cap space but got the Butler deal done, you know. Miami fans are mad because Adebayo will hurt Miami’s cap space next offseason?

Did we all forget what Miami did this offseason already? Well, if you did let me remind you that Miami signed players to two-year deals with team options.

This means that Miami will still have cap flexibility after this season, with around $36 million dollars in cap space for next year. Don’t count Miami out just yet in free agency.

Oh, Miami has trade assets too if they have to go that route. If you don’t think Miami’s front office has a plan and knows what they are doing then I don’t know what to tell you.
