Achiuwa would benefit from some fine-tuning of his offensive repertoire, specifically when it comes to shooting the ball from the perimeter and the free-throw line.

The first goal for his rookie campaign is to become more consistent with his shot over the course of the season.

Precious only shot 40 three-pointers in his 31 collegiate games last season, connecting on a reasonable 32.5% of those attempts. His game, like any big man in today’s NBA, would benefit greatly from an improved and consistent outside shot.

Achiuwa is more than capable of becoming an impact player with little floor stretching ability. It’ll be a nice addition in upcoming seasons, but he has the skillset to make an impact and not have to force shots he’s not yet comfortable with.

By the end of the season, one would like to see his confidence on such shots increasing. The most important statistical improvement for his shot though is at the charity stripe.

He shot just 59.9% from the line at Memphis while averaging six free throw attempts per contest. His physical and aggressive style of play means he will earn his free throw attempts when he’s on the court and he needs to be able to knock them down at a higher rate.

Goal: Shoot at least 65% from the Free Throw line this season
