In case you haven’t heard, the Miami Heat’s latest Vice colorway just dropped and yes, they are, again, the best in the league.

The Miami Heat have been killing the NBA jersey game over the past few years. From the White to the Wave (Blue) or from the Sunset Vice (Pink) to the Vice Nights (Black), the Miami Heat have owned it when it comes to their City Edition jersey creations.

Well, they did it again. On Tuesday, the official Vice Jersey for this season dropped.

Here it is. This is from the Twitter account of the Miami Heat.

Nasty. Sick.

Just downright disrespectful to the other jerseys around the league. They don’t miss when it comes to these Vice colorways.

Here’s a fun fact and near-tragedy though at the same time about the newest additions to the Vice collection. They almost didn’t happen.

That’s at least what Zach Lowe of ESPN had to say. Theirs a story attached, via ESPN+ (subscription required), but he gives it away in this teaser Tweet.

Based on what I’ve read, nostalgia and simply a rekindling of the appreciation they had for older colorways, it stayed.

Either way and no matter the reasoning behind it, it seems they made the right decision. These jerseys are sick and arguably the best of the quintuplets.

The Miami Heat have dominated the City Edition jersey wars for at least four years now and look to continue their reign of excellence. We know, jerseys don’t win titles, but at least they’ll be some of the best looking guys on the court as they make a run.

You also have to acknowledge the fact that they are very real contenders for the title as well, so that helps. We always think we have a shot, it’s the Culture but after last season’s run, everyone should know it now.

To close on the jerseys, City Editions jersey colorways are supposed to come and go but that might not be the case for a team like the Miami Heat. Here is a quote from Lowe’s story that highlights a thought from Miami Heat vice president of creative and digital marketing, Jennifer Alvarez.

"“‘Vice’ isn’t just a campaign anymore,” Alvarez said. “These are permanent measures. It’s an extension of our brand now.”"

We couldn’t agree with her more. They need to be here to stay.

Also according to the piece, they probably are. We love to see it and can’t wait to see the guys in them this season.
