The Miami Heat have probably wanted this since they last played them in October. They’ll face LA on Saturday, February the 20th in Primetime.

The Miami Heat have probably been waiting to see this schedule since October. This is when they last played.

We all remember it. This is when they went down in Game 6 at the hands of LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and their Los Angeles Lakers.

Well now, we have a schedule in hands, at least part of it. What we can tell based on that partial schedule though is when these two teams will meet again for the first time since their NBA Finals clash.

On Saturday, February the 20th in ABC’s Primetime 8:30 slot, the Miami Heat will get their next crack at the team that kept them from winning the title. With a few losses and additions to each team, a swap even when considering Avery Bradley hopping from LA to Miami, this game should be a good one.

The Miami Heat probably have this date circled on their calendars. It’s go-time.

While it may not rival the effort and competitive spirit that we got from the two opposing sides in the NBA Finals, it just might. While there doesn’t seem to be any true bad blood betwixt the two sides, there is some real competitive aggression between them and that’s for sure.

From the Jimmy Neutron cracks at Duncan Robinson to them mocking Tyler Herro for his mean-mugging snarl or even from Dwight Howard, who’s no longer there, attempting to take Jimmy Butler‘s head off during the playoffs to simply the bitter taste left in the Miami Heat’s mouths after losing to them, there is plenty to motivate them.

We can’t wait to see it all play out though. It should be fantastic entertainment and television to behold.

One thing is for certain, they’ll face a completely healthy Miami Heat squad this time, hopefully, and they will be ready. They better be, because it isn’t that far away now.
