The Miami Heat love a player that can do a bit of everything. They also love a guy who knows exactly what he does well and lives there.

His Game Is Simplistic

Typically, when someone calls something simple, simplistic, or basic, most people take that as an insult. The thing about basketball is this though.

When you watch a player that’s effective and call his or her game simplistic, it’s actually a compliment. It means that they can do the same thing over and over with limited volatility.

In sports, routine is king and that is no different for a player’s game. Simple means with great consistency and that describes Bam’s game.

He can be flashy, but most of the time he gets it done by simply being better at the basics than everyone else. Bam can make the splash passes, but he chooses to make the right one.

Bam can always make a play for himself, through, around, or over the top of the defense. His patience allows him to make the best play for his team though.

He doesn’t overcomplicate things or force them. That’s how he got the deal and that’s how he’ll live up to it.

Again, he won’t try to be or actually be anybody but himself. If he continues along his natural progression, while continuing to be himself, then he’ll be more than fine.
