The Miami Heat needed to replace Jae Crowder, who left in free agency for the Valley Of The Sun. Can Moe Harkless step in and be that guy?

You have to have a backup plan, right?

The Miami Heat then had to go out and try to fill the void left by Crowder. They came away with Avery Bradley and Maurice Harkless, or Moe to some of us.

Bradley speaks for himself and is something that the Miami Heat needed before Crowder left, an on-ball and point of attack defensive expert. Harkless, on the other hand, can be seen as a direct replacement, body for body and skill set for skill set, for Jae Crowder.

With that in mind, we must begin to think about something. Can he fill in for Crowder admirably?

Can he shoot it the way Crowder did? Can he do all the things that Jae did for this Heat team?

Those are all good questions. Let’s look at our bold prediction for him first.

Moe Harkless will have a top-three scoring average year of his career

Back to a few previous topics, no, Moe isn’t the shooter that Crowder was after joining Miami. He is a guy that can do everything else he did though and perhaps even better.

Let’s dive a bit into that.
