The Miami Heat got a bigger and more athletic guy in Moe Harkless. Does he offer all of the other things that Jae Crowder did though?
Harkless is bigger, more mobile, more multiple, and more athletic than Crowder. Speaking about the multipleness, while he isn’t an awful shooter or the shooter that Jae was after arriving in Miami last season, his dribble-drive and post-up game are far superior to that of Crowder’s.
While shooting is the premium skill right now, if he can hit enough while finding a way to sneak a few other buckets in every game, he should more than account for Crowder’s production. As far as his prediction, you have to actually look at the details.
Having a top three scoring year across his career only means scoring eight points per contest for Harkless. To be specific, if he can finish the year averaging just 7.8 points per contest then that mission is accomplished.
It really isn’t that hard of a task but if accomplished, could mean significant things for the Miami Heat. I believe Harkless will be fine and a valued addition to this Heat team.
That goes for his versatility and the tenacity with which he plays the game. That’s also why I believe he’ll blow this prediction out of the water.
