The Miami Heat go as far as Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo go. This season, we expect Bam to go up in most statistics and instances.

The Miami Heat are a team that knows where their bread is buttered. This is clearly evident in their philosophy as a team and in their style of play.

They want to outwork you. They are going to hustle harder than you.

They are going to be grittier than you and they aren’t going to waste possessions, at least that’s an ultimate pet peeve. That also maintains for their players.

When it came to Bam Adebayo, the talk had been waiting until after this season to give him a deal in order to maintain maximum flexibility in the offseason following this season. Well, the Miami Heat threw all of that out of the window and showed loyalty to their guy.

Again, they knew where their bread was buttered. Fresh off a trip to the bank though, what’s Bam Adebayo’s 2020-21 going to look like?

We don’t know specifically, but we can tell you this. He’ll be better than he was last season.

The Miami Heat need all that Bam Adebayo can give them. I think his offering increases from a scoring perspective this season.

Although only three short seasons, Bam has gotten significantly better with each offseason he has had in the league. That shouldn’t’ change this season and it leads us straight into his bold prediction.

Bam Adebayo will increase his scoring average to become a 20, 10, and 5 guy

Bam averaged 15.9 points, 10.2 rebounds, and 5.1 assists last season. While I do believe his rebounding and assisting will go up by at least around one whole deviation per game, meaning from 10.2 rebounds to at least 11.2 and from 5.1 dimes to at least 6, his scoring is where we will really focus today.

Bam hasn’t really become the guy that looks to create a ton of his own offense yet. He does his thing by cleaning up misses or hustle buckets.

This season is the season where I believe we see him expand his game though. With a steady dose of short jumpers to close the NBA Bubble last season, that is a place where he should show improvement immediately.

With his handles and playmaking ability, the mere fact that he’s taking them should help to open up more driving lanes. If he can hit them with regularity, oh brother, then that’s a totally different beast that he becomes.

I think Bam has the means and skills to do it. We can’t wait to see if he can and that all starts on Monday!
