The Miami Heat would need to find a way to get at least one more player out of the deal. Not only because they would need the bodies, but because there is a guy that fits.

They Must Find A Way To Get P.J. Tucker Too

The Miami Heat can’t just get one player if they land James Harden. If the deal ends up being between multiple teams, that’s one thing, but let’s say it’s simply between the Rockets and the Heat.

Not only should Miami want to sweeten the deal for themselves with at least one more player, especially with the package they’d send back but with the sheer size of the package they’d likely have to send back, they’d also need bodies to help fill out their roster.

Well, those are two reasons to want this guy. But the third reason to want P.J. Tucker in a Miami Heat uniform is that he just fits.

Not only does he fit, but he is multiple, he defends, he impacts the game without needing to score, and he specializes in guarding the wings and fours that terrorize the league today. For example, like Anthony Davis and LeBron James, the two guys who just finished manhandling Miami in the Finals.

This thing should wrap up pretty quickly, one way, another, or another. The Rockets could just decide to keep him, ride out the year, and see where next offseason takes them.

They could decide to trade him to Miami, which would leave that to be figured out. He could also be traded to another team entirely, such as the also heavily rumored Nets.

We’ll keep our eyes peeled. If he is traded to Miami though, they must make sure these three things happen as well.
