The Miami Heat believe in the team first, but that doesn’t mean individuals can’t shine.

The Miami Heat are a team that builds the right way, by all accounts. They are a team that knows that their greatest strength is what they are able to do together and that together, they can do anything.

That doesn’t mean that they aren’t a team full of individually talented guys and/or players though. They are.

With that in mind, the Miami Heat were robbed last season when it came to individual awards. Bam Adebayo and Goran Dragic should have both taken home final season award trophies, but neither heard their name called.

Because it’s the Miami Heat we are talking about here, you can expect something similar to happen again, as they get no respect, but at least these players will make it a conversation. Here are four Miami Heat players who could win awards in 2021.

Precious Achiuwa- Rookie Of The Year

The Miami Heat drafted forward, Precious Achiuwa, right at the tail end of this past NBA Draft Lottery. From what we have seen so far, they got another steal.

He’s an energy guy that doesn’t need the ball in his hands to make a major impact. He moves around the floor like a guy that is 6’6″, but he is a long and gigantic legit 6’9″ or 6’10”.

The guy also has skills already. He isn’t a completely finished project but for comparison purposes, he is far ahead of where Bam Adebayo was, skillset and polish wise, upon first entering the league.

It is for these reasons that I believe he could compete for Rookie Of The Year this season. He has a versatile skillset, a body ready for the league, and plays for a team that knows how to, and will use him to the best of his abilities this year.
