Surprise Miami Heat players ready to contribute: Precious Achiuwa.

What more do you have to say about a guy who has the following in his Twitter bio. “Only the violent will survive”.

There’s nothing else you need to see. He’s a Miami Heat guy.

In case that wasn’t enough though, here is something that might help to solidify it for you. It comes from a former NBA player, a former Miami Heat player, and Precious’s college coach, Penny Hardaway.

He made a comment about how Precious and the franchise fit. Here it is.

"“It’s a defensive franchise,” Hardaway said. “They want you to go out there and defend and knock people down and be nasty and that’s what he can do.”"

That wasn’t it though. He also had something to say on how he initially felt when learning the news.

"“When Precious got chosen by the Miami I was so excited for him because I played in that organization, a first-class organization,” Hardaway said. “He’s built for that culture.”"

Well, Penny wasn’t wrong. This is a first class organization and Precious was built for it.

In just two games with his new team, two preseason games at that, you can already see what he can do. He moves like a guy that’s half his size and that is nothing but a compliment.

He is big, athletic, and can do quite a few things with the ball in his hands. That’s not the most exciting part of his game though.

He’s one of those guys that doesn’t need the ball or plays drawn up for him to have a major impact on the game. For example, you’ll watch him all game and think he’s not doing much, only to check the stats and see he has a double double.

It sounds like another player on the roster already, right? If you thought Bam Adebayo, you were right.

Also like Bam, Achiuwa can do a bit of everything, as we mentioned. This makes him a great fit because all he has to do is do what Bam does when he’s on the floor.

It’s really pretty simple for him early on. That’s why he should make an immediate impact.
