With the holidays among us, what are some of the gifts the Miami Heat have given us?

The Miami Heat have been a pretty good team for the last season or so and that is much appreciated. After the Big 3 Era, things got pretty bleak there for a while.

Fortunately for us, Pat Riley was in charge, Erik Spoelstra was the man on the sidelines, and payers like Goran Dragic came in, did work, bided his time, and saved enough for this era while helping us through those lean years.

That was then and this is now though. The Miami Heat are all the way back.

That is just where we will begin though. They are “back” because of the first gift that they have given us.

1. Jimmy Butler… Another True Miami Heat Type Superstar

The Miami Heat practically owed us this one. While Jimmy Butler is and was the ideal Miami Heat guy and the epitome of what it means to be a Heat player, they had struck out on quite a few guys before landing him.

When they did though, it was all things go and straight ahead. The Miami Heat brought in the determined two-way superstar and proceeded to make it to the NBA Finals in just his very first year.

I would say that was a good return on their investment, even if early and incomplete at the moment. That’s just the first gift though.
