The Miami Heat face the Milwaukee Bucks in back to back games this week and they should tell us a ton.

The Miami Heat have been off since they last faced off against the New Orleans Pelicans on Christmas Day. Coming off of their first win of this young season, they now have to think about what it’s going to take to face the new and improved Milwaukee Bucks this coming week.

Not only do they face them once on Tuesday, but they turn around and play them again the following night, yes, that Wednesday. The NBA seems to be doing what they can to limit a ton of movement in an effort to prevent the spread of coronavirus, which makes all the sense in the world.

With that in mind, this mini-series, of sorts, could be hugely telling for Miami. Here are three things it could help to reveal about this Miami Heat team.

Who are they in relation to last year’s team?

While every coach will say that every team from every season is different, the facts are these. These teams met just a few months ago and there has only been moderate change, relatively.

The results of these two games, especially in the back to back consecutive night format, could really help the Heat know how far ahead or behind they are of the team that went to the NBA Finals.

As we continue to progress here, the reason that’s important becomes clearer.
