The Miami Heat can figure out where they stack up in the East against the Bucks this week.

The Miami Heat certainly have a tough task on their hands as they come into this two-game set against the revamped Milwaukee Bucks. With Jrue Holiday now apart of the mix, a guy that Miami had been rumored to have been interested in, they now need to know if they have what it takes to get back to where they were able to get to last season and beyond with him on that side.

Seeing where they stack up in the East

The first part of that whole process involves getting out of their own conference. In order for them to totally rectify what happened to them in the NBA Bubble last season, they must first get back to the NBA Finals.

In order for them to get back to the Finals, they have to win the East. The Milwaukee Bucks are not only the favorites to win the Eastern Conference by the oddsmakers but they are the third favorite team overall to win the NBA title.

While they are but one part of this equation, that is one part that could be accomplished this week. Win or lose, the Miami Heat gain valuable information and though we would really love for them to win both games, the information is what’s most important at the moment.

The second part of that equation is a matchup against the Brooklyn Nets, the second favorited team to win the East and the fourth favorite as far as the NBA title. They’ll have their series against them soon enough.

That’s the second thing that this series could help reveal. That is where they stack up in the Eastern Conference and the last reason is why all of this is as important as it is.
