Jimmy Butler is his best for the Miami Heat when he is being aggressive on offense.

We all know that Jimmy Butler just a good, solid, overall, all-around basketball player, right? I ask, because perhaps he’s not sure if we all know it yet.

We know he can pass and create plays for his teammates. We know he can be happy playing a back seat to his teammates as they score the points.

Offensive Aggression

That’s not where he’s at his best for the Miami Heat though. He’s at his best when he’s creating offense for himself and through that, taking a revolving path to the free throw line.

It’s not as if when he’s aggressive in looking for his own shots that he’s not still a willing passer. He, indeed, is.

In fact, not only would that make the team run a bit smoother but I could argue that by him being more constantly aggressive, it should only increase his playmaking. Listen, I trust Jimmy Butler.

He plays this, sort of, “I’ll give the team whatever they need on any given night” kind of role sometimes and mostly, it works. However, for this team to be consistently at their best, they’ll need him to be consistently agressive.

That’s the second thing we need to continue to see from Jimmy. That would be a steady diet of him hunting his own shots and attacking opportunities.
