The Miami Heat had their game against the Boston Celtics postponed on Sunday due to an inconclusive coronavirus test.

The Miami Heat were supposed to play a game on Sunday against the Boston Celtics. With the Celtics missing players in their last contest due to coronavirus related issues, they would be without those same players in Sunday’s game due to the standard amount of time the league has deemed to be necessary before a guy can play.

Well, about midway through the day, the Celtics reportedly added a few other guys to that list of players that weren’t going to play, but they still had the eight required to play the game. Everything was still on and by the looks of it, even though some may have not wanted to get it this way, the Miami Heat had a pretty good chance at a win with them being down some of their top guys.

Then the news happened. As the game approached, about three hours or so before the scheduled tip off, news began to circulate that the contest would not be played.

The Miami Heat were slated to play Boston Sunday but inconclusive COVID results caused then to postpone.

The Miami Heat had their own virus testing scenario to work out, with whatever that scenario being rendering them without the necessary eight players to play the game out. It hadn’t happened to the Miami Heat until Sunday, but it has been pretty constant since basketball came back near Christmas.

It leads you to question if they can actually and realistically make it through the entire season at this pace. More specifically, will the league ever consider going back into the Bubble and at what point is that?

You have to imagine that there is a plan and that it has crossed their mind more than once in the last few days. I believe that they already have everything necessary to do so lined up.

They have to, right? The situation at the moment looks bad, but considering all the moving parts and the amount of time that all of these parts have already spent moving around, it could be a lot worse.

If things continue to progress the way it has though, you have to imagine that another month or so might see them actually go back to the seclusion of the Bubble.

We all know what the Miami Heat did in last year’s bubble, so perhaps it’ll help them. However, we are talking for a more extended period of time this time, perhaps even two or three times as long as last year’s bubble.

The Miami Heat should be mentally built to handle it all, so we’ll see how things go. Again though, this situation is one you want to keep an eye on because we aren’t far off of something having to be done.
