Miami Heat trade targets: Derrick Rose
The Miami Heat faced off against the Detroit Pistons twice in the last few days and though we knew he still had some gas in the tank, I must say, we didn’t know he still had this. Derrick Rose was impressive.
When you think of Derrick Rose, you think of “what could have been”, however, “what’s going on now” is impressive as well. After watching him closely over the last two contests, I’ve come to a conclusion.
He still has everything that he had during his prime years. He still has the janky and unorthodox explosion that allows him to finish over, around, and through anybody.
He still has the first step quickness that you simply can’t stay in front of. Now even, he has a more than threatening outside shot to go along with it all.
I would say he has it all, but as a complete player, he might be better. Here’s the reason why it doesn’t look or feel the way it used to.
As opposed to then, where he was tasked with doing those things on every play of every game, something that would take a toll on any persons body, he only opens it up for about 2/3rds of the time now.
That’s what probably keeps him healthy, yet still explosive as he is. Either way, the Detroit Pistons have been said to have a desire to go all youth.
Wonderful. That would mean trading guys like Derrick Rose and Blake Griffin, perhaps.
We aren’t in on Griffin, because whoa is that a sad view right now, but we can be sold on Rose. Heck, we already are because he still has it and we need it.
