The Miami Heat aren’t having the best of luck this season. Just look at their record alone, that’ll say a ton about what you need to know.

Further than just that though, the team’s level of success, they haven’t had much luck to speak of individually either. Jimmy Butler has missed well over half of the Heat’s potential games.

They have had sporadic absences all throughout the year all over the roster. Tyler Herro has missed quite a few games for varying reasons.

Avery Bradley has missed time. KZ Okpala` has been out as well.

Quite a bit of the Miami Heat team has been hit by one thing or another. Just as injury is a huge issue in any other season, it still is this season, except they now also have COVID health and safety protocols to deal with.

Rightfully so, as basketball isn’t more important than health, that simply serves to state the true nature of things right now. As it turns out though, that isn’t even the worst of what the Miami Heat have had to encounter thus far.

On Tuesday, we found out that they would have another absence to contend with. The only difference this time is that instead of a few games or a compact yet unknown amount of time, they lost Meyers Leonard for the year.
