The Miami Heat may be looking to add a piece or two before the deadline at the end of March. With about a month and a half to go before that deadline hits, the this is now the time to start ramping up those calls and doing more research.

Though the Miami Heat have needs in very specific areas that could stand to be addressed, they are in a position where they could go a number of different directions if they do choose to bring help in. Though they lost Meyers Leonard for the year, ultimately meaning that they probably need to address their depth at big man, they have also been in need to bolster their backcourt depth as well.

With that all in mind, there are certain teams that would be more likely to deal with the Miami Heat than any others… or perhaps even the other way around. Here are three teams to watch when it comes to the Miami Heat potentially making a move.

New York Knicks

Though the Miami Heat were in on Derrick Rose, apparently, his addition to the Knicks now gives them quite a few guys at that lead guard spot. With Rose presumably jumping into the starter role, that leaves guys like Elfrid Payton and Frank Ntilikina out back.

Though Ntilikina isn’t my cup of tea, Payton is a guy that interests me. We don’t want either of them anywhere near a jumper, but either could bring the ball up the court, play defense, and attack the paint, on occasion of course.
