The Miami Heat got another win on Thursday night against a rather plucky Houston Rockets team. The arc of the game represented just that fact.

It started out all Rockets, with them going up double digits to start. The Miami Heat would end up pulling all the way back though as the half approached.

Although it wasn’t completely even, by halftime, it was a two-possession game. The Miami Heat came out of the halftime break though and it was all them.

While the game still had a bit of back and forth to it, especially as it came to a finite conclusion, the Miami Heat controlled it for the most part down the stretch. That was until Bam Adebayo fouled out on a questionable offensive foul call against him that saw him grabbed by the neck by the opposing defensive player.

The Miami Heat won on Thursday, but they need Bam Adebayo to be more aggressive.

Though that was a bad call, that’s neither here nor there at this point, as they won the game and it is behind them. What’s before them are more games and this next little topic can and most certainly will impact their chances of winning or not.

Bam has to be more aggressive. However you want to think about or approach “aggression” from a basketball sense, that’s what we mean.

He has to be more aggressive to get to his spots. When he gets there, he must be more aggressive to hunt his looks.

In all that, he has to be more aggressive to command the ball. When he gets it, he has to be more aggressive in his moves, whatever that or those may be on any given possession.

He’s an unselfish player by nature that lets the game come to him, but his talent and responsibility for this team dictates that he be the one to force the action sometimes. We love that he doesn’t James Harden press it, but we need him to do a bit more than he is on a regular basis from game to game.

He has to have more than eight attempts, as he did on Thursday against Houston. It’s one thing to miss shots, as it’s a make or miss league, but it’s something totally different to never take the shots at all.

This isn’t the first time we’ve mentioned it. We have noted it for a while now and after the Brooklyn game, we can’t have these kind of nights.

Bam has to be better there. This was a good win for Miami though and now, we’ll see if they can do it all over again on Saturday against a tough and very hot Utah Jazz team.
