Former Miami Heat big and “The Spin Doctor”, Rony Seikaly, is still doing just that

Currently, Rony Seikaly is an active DJ traveling the world playing music for a new breed of fans. One of my personal favorite Seikaly tracks is “Practice”, which pays homage to Allen Iverson’s now infamous speech of the same name.

Seikaly also continues investing in various real estate ventures throughout the country. “If you do things you love, it’s never work” says Seikaly.
Rony also remains active athletically, playing a sport each day – golf, tennis, water sports, or snow/water skiing. He has a saying, “If I can’t play sports or listen to music every single day, I don’t feel like I am living. So I need both to keep me sane and on course.”
Bleacher Report did a great Q&A with him if you want to hear additional background stories.
Seikaly will forever live in Miami Heat franchise lore as the team’s inaugural draft pick and has even held Heat season tickets during his retirement. The Franchise Father helped build the Heat franchise from the ground up, literally.
When he was chosen by your Miami Heat as the ninth overall draft pick in 1988, Seikaly helped the Heat go from the worst team in the League to Playoff Contender. Want more of an inside look about Rony Seikaly?
