Fresh off of a big three-game winning streak to end a road trip, the Miami Heat get the day off on Tuesday. With that, they’ll have a chance to catch some other teams play ball, if they so choose.

Well, if they do choose to do so, they’ll likely catch the announcement of the NBS All-Star reserves for 2021. Since we are talking about the Miami Heat, there are two guys that might be a little more interested in the announcement than any other guys on the roster.

The Miami Heat haven’t been great, yet, but Bam Adebayo and Jimmy Butler have been All-Star worthy.

Bam Adebayo and Jimmy Butler should both take a special interest in the All-Star reserves announcements. Thought the Miami Heat haven’t quite hit their stride yet, both of those guys have played at an All-Star level when and if they’ve been on the floor.

Though they did both rank in the top six in the All-Star starter voting, numbers five and six, that was comprised of a mix of fan voting, player voting, and some media votes. The reserves selections will come strictly from a vote from NBA coaches.

That fact gives me hope that the Miami Heat will get the chance to see two All-Stars this season. At least one of them will be there and if not, we know the whole thing is rigged.

It really doesn’t matter to me if they make it though, because with the luck they’ve had keeping guys in uniform this season, the safer the better. Also, there’s this thought from Miami Heat insider Greg Sylvander.

That could also be a positive for this team. While losing in the Finals should be enough to motivate them, we can understand the whole hangover of it all, but enough is also enough at this point.

I do believe that being “snubbed” here would motivate them. I also believe they should have been playing better thus far too though, so, there’s that but again, I do agree with Sylvander here.

As stated, I do believe with the decision here being in the coaches hands, both Bam and Jimmy should make it. If they do, wonderful but if they don’t, it won’t be such a bad thing for the Miami Heat either.
