The Miami Heat are in a very tricky position right now. They are a team that’s pretty good, most of the time but when they are bad, they are bad.

While that can manifest itself in a few ways, for the Miami Heat, it most often looks like a parade of missed long-range shots at the rim. Simply making more of the attempts that they take would be one way to solve the problem.

Asking someone to put their head down, attack the basket, and not settle for so many outside attempts would be another way to attack that issue. That’s if that someone in question is already on the roster.

The third options is this. You bring a guy in.

You bring a guy in that can hit the shots that the Miami Heat aren’t hitting, that can attack off of the bounce to create more looks for them, or simply someone who can garner easy baskets or looks for themselves in one way or another.

That’s likely why this pair of trade and/or buyout rumors have remained among all others. According to Kevin O’Connor of The Ringer, the Miami Heat are still “taking swings” and “harder than anyone” on some fronts for two guys in particular.
