Miami Heat Still Monitoring Trade & Buyout Market: Kyle Lowry

The Miami Heat would be very wise to acquire someone who can score at all three levels, but surely off the bounce if they make a move. With a team full of guys who like to take the outside shot, another guy who can get into the teeth of the defense and do damage could go a long way.

There’s no better guy for a role like that than a guy who has done it to Miami a ton across his career. Kyle Lowry is what you call a three-level scorer.

He can hit the deep shot, with range if need be, while he can also drive all the way past the defense to the cup. If you need something more in the middle, Lowry has the ability to get by the defender but stop on the way for the mid-range too, although a not so often used ability in today’s game.

Here’s why you should be sold on Kyle Lowry. light. Related Story

Here is what O’Connor had to say of the ferocity of the Miami Heat’s pursuit. While reports tended to indicate that he would remain a Raptor beyond the deadline, O’Connor also touches on that.

"League sources say the Heat are pursuing a deal for Raptors point guard Kyle Lowry harder than anyone, though the Clippers and Sixers retain interest. Lowry recently said he wants to retire with the Raptors even if he needs to sign a one-day contract. But if he gets dealt, league sources say his preferred destination is Miami because of his close friendship with Jimmy Butler."

The Miami Heat would have to give up something of major value, according to the report as well, but it might be worth it for Lowry. If it takes them over the top or that much closer to an actual title, it must be done.
