The Miami Heat took another defeat on Tuesday. This time, at the hands of Chris Paul, Devin Booker, and their Phoenix Suns.

Their fourth defeat in a row, meaning in as many games as well, the Miami Heat didn’t look like themselves out there. They looked shellshocked.

Well, in this particular case, they were probably deal-shocked. That speaks towards the NBA’s Trade Deadline.

The uneasiness with which a few of the guys moved around the floor on Tuesday was literally visible and to the point where one could have probably reached out and grabbed the awkwardness. It was that thick.

Bam Adebayo spoke to it after the game. He noted how guys are probably hearing their names in rumors, but they have to play through it, essentially.

Former Miami Heat wing, Jae Crowder, had words of advice for Bam Adebayo after Tuesday’s defeat.

The guys on the side of the ball where these issues were a problem weren’t the only ones to notice it though. Former Miami Heat wing and sniper, Jae Crowder, also spoke towards something that he saw, in a way.

The same issue when it’s really broken down to it’s foundation, he spoke to how Bam has to be better about encouraging his guys. He basically spoke towards Bam’s responsibility as a leader on this Miami Heat team.

Here’s what Crowder said:

"With Bam, you know, just brotherly talk. Just talking about life and making sure he’s where he needs to be mentally. I just told him that his leadership has to pick up with that group. His leadership has to be 10x, he has to be better, and that’s what I told him. That’s all I was telling him, basically, as a brother, as his friend. He is a leader of that team. I want to see him succeed and I want to see the team succeed, so you know. I told him his communication, his level of communication to the guys, and leadership has to pick up. That’s what expected of him here, in Miami, so yea and some other life things. Some personal things. That’s my guy, that’s my friend, and that’s what we talked about."

To quote the hitmaker known as Drake, those were “wise words from a decent man”. Though Jae Crowder took the money from Phoenix instead of re-signing with Miami this past offseason and rightfully so, he still has a relationship with the guys in Miami and especially Bam Adebayo, it appears.

Everything that Crowder said was spot on though. He didn’t miss a beat.

Bam has to step it up from a a leadership perspective and be that vocally or with his actions on the court, he needs to be more consistent and dependable with it. That’s the only thing with Bam and that’s that he doesn’t bring the same mentality in each and every game.

Hopefully this chat with his former teammate rings some bells for him. If he finally sees the light, the one where he’s aggressive and attacking every night, this team automatically becomes 50 percent better, minimally.
