DeMarcus Cousins On Miami Heat’s Radar: Who else would be better than him?

The Miami Heat aren’t desperate, but they are in great need. When you look at the guys that are out there right now, there just isn’t a ton to choose from.

To be frank, he’s probably the best available piece out there, by far.

The Best Of The Rest

Of the guys available and who they’d honestly give a look, who would be the preferred signee: Tyson Chandler, Skal Labissiere, Ian Mahinmi, Thon Maker, Caleb Swanigan, Ante Zizic, Jordan Bell, Dragan Bender, or any of several other guys that can’t make or stick on NBA rosters?

That’s just it. DeMarcus Cousins is the best available option out there when it comes to potentially filling that hole that the Miami Heat need to fill. While there are some guys who could come in a be mere depth, such as Chris Silva or another guy that was shipped out to make room, while the rest are starting G-League players, at best.

If the Miami Heat want to make a serious run at a title again, they need to sure up that area of the rotation and do it with a mind towards helping themselves out in an area of weakness. That area is rebounding and Boogie can do it, while not hurting your rotations, spacing, or versatility, and just so happens to be the best option on the market that’s available.

What’s the wait? Why haven’t they signed him already?

Unless there is a guy out there that isn’t known yet or that is rumored to be bought out that hasn’t hit the public sector yet, then this is an exercise in purposeless finger twiddling. The Miami Heat need a guy and he’s available.

That’s enough. If that isn’t though, these were three other reasons why DeMarcus Cousins should absolutely still be on the Miami Heat’s radar.
