The Miami Heat have had their fair share of great players throughout their history. While Dwyane Wade is the greatest player in Miami Heat history, relative to the franchise and for all he’s meant, they have also had the privilege of being the home to one of the greatest players to ever touch a basketball… period.

Of course, that player is LeBron James. Here’s why that’s important though.

At the beginning of the week, NBA Hall of Fame small forward, Julius Erving (aka Dr. J), told the world about his top-two All-Time NBA teams on Posted Up with Chris Haynes. The Doctor’s teams went as follows:

First Team: Oscar Robertson, Jerry West, Wilt Chamberlain, Bill Russell, Elgin Baylor

Second Team: Magic Johnson, Michael Jordan, Larry Bird, Karl Malone, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar

Notice anything? Maybe the absence of the best player in NBA history – LeBron James. Dr. J defended himself by arguing that “He’s the guy who has led the charge on super teams.”
