The Miami Heat got a win. Sometimes that’s all you can ask for.

This was a no thrills, no frills type of game, but they won. They didn’t look like the dominant team between the pair to begin the contest, but by the time it was over, they looked like the team that was supposed to win the entire time.

There were a few bright spots for Miami on Saturday night. Max Strus has to qualify as one of them.

Coming into the game shorthanded, as Tyler Herro has missed a few contests at this point, Max Strus minutes were needed. When he got the time, he delivered.

The Miami Heat didn’t do anything special on Saturday night, but they got the win and that’s what’s important.

In 26 minutes off the pine for the Heat, Strus finished with 17 points, four rebounds, and two assists on 7-13 from the field. He was absolutely necessary for them to get this win.

He wasn’t the only one to have a big impact though. Miami Heat guard, Goran Dragic, might have helped swing the game, though he only finished with seven points.

Early in the first half, when the Cavaliers were trying to run away with the contest it seemed, Goran Dragic had a series of buckets to keep the Heat in it. Had he not kept them afloat there, they may have not been able to re-take control of the contest.

Something else you love to see as the game finished is the final tally on shot attempts for each player. While Kendrick Nunn led the Miami Heat with 14 attempts, Bam Adebayo was tied for second with 13 attempts.

You don’t mind that it was Max Strus who tied him though, especially with the way he can shoot it, in general, and with the way he had it going on Saturday. This was a good win, but they have to do it al over again on Sunday.

They will face a tough Charlotte Team. That game will have postseason implications and they need to win it, however, Saturday night’s win was a good team win and they’ll take it.
