The Miami Heat aren’t in a great position right now and as they head down the final stretch of the season. However, they aren’t in the worst possible position either.
While the team still has a ton of improving they can do, improving play from certain guys have really shown them how good they can be at their peaks. While those would be guys like Kendrick Nunn, Duncan Robinson, and a more consistently aggressive Bam Adebayo, from game to game, there are others that are, sort of, new that have had major roles and contributions as well.
By now, it might be clear that this is leading into a chat about Dewayne Dedmon and Trevor Ariza. The fact, alone, that they have been two of the most impactful Heat guys since their signings is one thing, but the totality of their stories over the last year or so is what makes it all that much more interesting.
As everyone endured the pandemic the world saw fall upon it, that was the same thing for the NBA, the Miami Heat, and their respective players. With that though, the NBA adjusted, pivoted, and concluded in the NBA Bubble of Orlando.
Players had the ability to opt-out though and Ariza was one of those guys. While Ariza chose not to play, that wasn’t the case for Dedmon.
