The Miami Heat were able to draft Memphis forward, Precious Achiuwa, with the 20th overall pick in last year’s NBA Draft. At that pick and positioning, Achiuwa was a steal of a grab for Miami, as he had been projected to go higher for much of the season, a lottery pick in some instances.

With that though, the season has been a bit bumpy and that’s to say the least, for the rookie forward born in  Port Harcourt, Nigeria. Here’s something he had to say on how this season has been for him, per Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel.

"There have been a lot of ups and downs, obviously,” Achiuwa said. “Also, learning on the fly, that’s on of the biggest things so far. I’ve been just learning on the fly, just trying to piece things together. “We didn’t really have an offseason, unlike any other draft, and it has just been difficult. Not just for myself, but you can look across the league at everybody who was drafted this year. Guys that I played, they’ve either been stronger in the beginning or they’re stronger right now, whatever the case may be. It’s just that we’re all trying to learn on the fly and trying to incorporate what we’re learning into our games."

That’s just it though. That also go’s a long way towards summing up his rookie year, thus far.

That isn’t the end all be all of it though, as there is a bit more to it. What’s that other part though?
