The Miami Heat needed more scoring and shooting this season, so will they let what they did have leave?

This one is a little tricky for me to talk about because even though Robinson is a big part of Miami’s offense, Miami’s offense was so bad in the postseason that it makes you wonder if they need to change things up. Robinson, who still shot the ball well this year, had a slow start to the season with his name in trade rumors for the first time in his career.

Duncan Robinson

But to be fair about after the deadline, Robinson was back to his old self and in the second part of the season, Robinson became a way better defender. This was huge for him and the team.

Besides Game 1 of the playoffs though, Robinson, or the team for that matter, did not look good. So, if you are Miami, how much are you willing to pay Robinson who will, most certainly, get paid this offseason.

Will Robinson take a hometown discount? No, I wouldn’t think so, with this being his first time in free agency.

Will Robinson take a little haircut? Maybe, but still unlikely.

If I had to guess, Robinson’s market will be between $15 and $18 million. This negotiation will be tricky for both parties.

Prediction : Robinson will be back at $16M per

Trevor Ariza

Ariza was another good find for Miami late in the year. Remember, Miami traded Meyers Leonard for him, who was out for the year with a bad shoulder and was facing backlash for using a racial slur.

Acquiring Ariza was the right move at the right time for Miami, who needed more depth at the four position and with Ariza being a plug in and play guy, it was easy for Ariza to come right in and fill his role.

Ariza provided solid defense, a rare attack on the rim, with three point threat ability, and especially from the corner. At this point in Ariza’s career though, he is not the full time starter like he was this season.

In a perfect role, Ariza is a ninth or tenth man.

Prediction: Re-Sign

Victor Oladipo

To be honest, I forgot that Oladipo was even on the team. With him playing only four games for Miami, it seems like a lifetime ago plus with Oladipo getting injured, that certainly didn’t help either.

I was in favor of Miami trading for Oladipo last offseason and at this past trade deadline. They finally made the move for him, but then… well, we all know how that went.

I think Miami would like to bring Oladipo back… at the right price and at the same time, I think Miami has Oladipo as one of their last hopes if they can’t bring in anyone better than him. Miami is in a good situation to be in when it comes to how they play with the Oladipo card.

Since Miami gave up nothing for him, it’s not like if he walks, then Miami gave up any real assets for him. If Miami were to bring him back on a prove it deal, then they are playing with house money.

Prediction: Miami looks elsewhere first, but keeps him in play
