Miami Heat: Top 3 Performances Of The 2020-21 Season
By Isiah Curry
Although the Miami Heat couldn’t exceed expectations for the 2020-21 season, it was still a successful year for a team that fought through months of inconsistencies in their health and team-play. Regardless of the situation, the Heat continued to bring that same edge for which we’ve seen in the last few years and had several key individual performances along the way.
Below is three of the most critical performances during the Heat’s 2020-21 season. Here are the top three performances from the Miami Heat’s season.
Tyler Herro: 24 points and 11 rebounds; Heat Defeat Celtics 129-121
In Miami’s season finale against the Boston Celtics, second-year guard, Tyler Herro, looked as confident as ever. He shot 10-15 from the floor to lead a balanced scoring effort from the Heat at TD Garden.
While escaping a 33-point night from Jayson Tatum and with Kemba Walker adding 36, Herro was fluid in getting open looks, with nine of his 24 points in the fourth quarter and including a pair of dagger signature pull-up three-pointers.
This was a much-needed effort to seal the Heat’s road win. This would allow them to clinch the sixth seed in the Eastern Conference and avoid the Play-In tournament.
Herro added three assists that evening, with a plus/minus of +10 for the night.
