The Miami Heat have a couple of directions they could go this offseason. They could either bring back most of the roster or begin to restructure things.

Regardless, it’s highly unlikely that the team will look identical to last year. Even if they run it back, some smaller pieces will certainly be changed out.

This leaves the potential for the Miami Heat to get involved in free agency. They might have some money to spend, but could also be strapped financially if they bring back certain players.

Bringing back Duncan Robinson on a new contract should be a top priority. That alone will take up anywhere from $15-$20 million in cap space.

Spending that much would put the Miami Heat in a bit of a pickle. They’ll want to improve the roster but won’t have a ton of cap space to do so.

This means there are two routes they could take – cheap free agents or trades. The issue with trades is that the Heat don’t have a ton of assets outside of Tyler Herro.

Signing free agents means that they would keep all their valuable pieces. However, it also means that they likely won’t be able to make a splash.

So, how can the Miami Heat please fans without making any big-time moves? Well, the answer comes down to one word – reunion.

The first trade of the NBA offseason saw Al Horford return to the Boston Celtics. Could the Miami Heat make a similar move and bring back a familiar face?

There are a few former Heat players that could become available this offseason. Better yet, most of them can probably be signed for cheap.

Reunions are always fun, so why not explore the market? Which Heat players could find themselves returning to Vice City this offseason?
