This year’s NBA Draft is supposed to be one of the best in recent history. Unfortunately, the Miami Heat don’t have any picks.

Not only do they not have any first-round picks, but they don’t have any picks at all. Of all the years not to have a pick, this is definitely one of the worst.

The Miami Heat have Jimmy Butler at the helm, but the majority of the roster is fairly young. Both Bam Adebayo and Tyler Herro are 23 and under.

Players such as Precious Ahiuwa, KZ Okpala, and Gabe Vincent, who just helped Nigeria complete a massive upset over Team USA, are also super young. Adding another top rookie to the young core could help improve the ceiling of this team’s future.

If the team did want to jump back into the draft, they would have to make a trade. Trading into the lottery would be ideal, but netting a late first-round pick would be far more likely.

The only way the Miami Heat could feasibly trade into the lottery would be by giving up Herro. Otherwise, a trade involving Goran Dragic and/or Andre Iguodala could potentially earn them a late-first or early second-round pick.

At that point, the question simply becomes, which prospects are worth trading for? With the amount of talent in this year’s draft, there are a bunch of names that could be thrown around.

Which potential prospects fit the mold of the Miami Heat? Who are the top three prospects they could target if Pat Riley wanted to trade into the draft?
