The Miami Heat were at their best when the big three were in town. Dwyane Wade, LeBron James, and Chris Bosh brought two championships to the city.

They dominated the NBA, leading the Heat to four straight Finals appearances. It was truly a great time to be a fan of the team.

Well, with the way the team is currently structured, there could be a way to form a new big three in Miami. With Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo already in place, the team just needs one more player.

Those two were able to lead the Miami Heat to a Finals run just two years ago but fell flat last season. Maybe it’s time to reconstruct a big three in South Beach.

Though the team may have some cap space to work with, trading for a third All-Star might be the way forward. The majority of their money will likely go into re-signing sharpshooter Duncan Robinson.

There are a few possible options around the league, but finding a player who fits well next to Butler and Adebayo should be a priority. What sort of player that is can be up for interpretation.

Should they target a power forward to complete the frontcourt? What about a guard that can shoot the ball super well?

Regardless of who they would be able to trade for, forming a big three would solidify the Miami Heat as one of the top teams in the Eastern Conference. What trades could they pull off this summer?
