The Miami Heat need to fill out their roster this offseason. With multiple core pieces potentially leaving in free agency, adding depth should be priority number one.

While there are a few positional needs throughout the roster, the one at guard stands out the most. A backup center and backup wings are important, but they currently have a severe lack of guards on the roster.

Both Kendrick Nunn and Goran Dragic could be on the move this summer. Depending on how the Miami Heat decide to handle things, they could be forced to completely change their guard rotation.

Nunn will be a restricted free agent. The Heat can match any offer he gets, but if the price gets too steep it may not be worth it.

As for Dragic, he has a massive $19.4 million team option. If the Miami Heat choose to accept it, it would seriously affect how much cap space they have this summer.

In addition, Victor Oladipo is a free agent as well. Even if the Heat did decide to bring him back, his knee injury will likely keep him out until November at the earliest.

This just leaves Tyler Herro as the only guard in the rotation at the moment. Duncan Robinson can play some shooting guard minutes, but he will be a restricted free agent as well.

Signing a legitimate starter would be ideal, but the team is already reportedly looking to do so. It’s crucial that they also sign some depth at the position.

With that in mind, who are the top options the Miami Heat can sign this offseason to provide some depth at the guard position?
