Patty Mills is a scrappy veteran known for his elite three-point shooting ability. He’s spent almost his entire career with the Spurs but could be lured into a change of scenery this offseason.

San Antonio is trending towards a rebuild, giving lots of minutes to players such as Keldon Johnson and Lonnie Walker IV. Due to this, Mills could choose to leave in favor of competing for a championship.

Mills would be a great backup point guard to whoever the Miami Heat decide to bring in. Miami desperately needs an influx of shooting, and he would certainly provide that.

Last year, Mills averaged 10.8 points, 1.7 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game. He shot 41.2% from the field and 37.5% from three-point range.

He has shot 37% or better from deep in each of the last six seasons. In addition, he has taken at least four threes per game in all of them as well.

Since Mills has spent so long with the Spurs, there is a chance they try to re-sign him as a mentor for the younger players. That being said, they could also choose to go all-in on their rebuild.

Mills should have a lot of players chasing him in free agency this offseason. Depending on what those teams are willing to give him, the Heat could realistically sign him for around $5-$8 million.
