Duncan Robinson has played a crucial role in the Miami Heat offense for the past two seasons. After going undrafted, he really found a home in South Beach.

The 27-year-old will be a restricted free agent this offseason. Though the price tag may be hefty, the Miami Heat should do everything in their power to bring him back.

They are already a subpar three-point shooting squad with him on the team. If he were removed from last year’s totals, they would have been a bottom three team in three-point percentage.

Without his shooting, the Miami Heat would have very little spacing next to Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo. Since the two stars of the team cannot shoot, they need to put a ton of shooters around them.

Since Robinson is a restricted free agent, the Heat will probably match any offer he receives. The most likely scenario is that Robinson is back in Miami next season.

If that does end up being the case, Robinson needs to do everything possible to improve next season. He averaged around 13 points last year, but bumping that number up next season would be a great help to the team.

He talked about making improvements to his game on his podcast. Robinson spoke about adding a go-to two-point shot to his game that would keep defenders on their toes.

In addition, he wants to improve on the defensive end of the floor. This means working on his lateral quickness and overall strength.

So, if these are Robinson’s goals this summer, who are some NBA legends he should study this offseason?
