The Miami Heat are surely hot on the trails of another star guy to bring into the fold this offseason. While there have been a ton of names mentioned thus far, such as Collin Sexton, Kyle Lowry, Brandon Ingram, and Damian Lillard, to name a few, there is one that has been there for quite a while now that just won’t go anywhere.

When it comes to Bradley Beal and the Miami Heat, there just always seems to be a connection. The most recent reports or indications from the nation’s capital make it no less likely that said connection won’t actually happen someday.

Here is the latest on Bradley Beal’s situation. It comes from Bleacher Report.

The Miami Heat don’t have draft picks this season. So, whether Bradley Beal requests a trade before or after draft is irrelevant for them.

"Washington Wizards general manager Tommy Sheppard said Wednesday neither Bradley Beal nor his representation has requested a trade.Sheppard told reporters he feels there are free agents who would “love” to play with Beal and Russell Westbrook next season.B/R’s Jake Fischer reported Beal was considering making a trade request ahead of Thursday’s NBA draft."

Well, while that might be a good bit of information for most teams out there, that isn’t the case for Miami. They don’t have any draft picks in Thursday night’s draft anyway, at this point.

Regardless of if they deal for Bradley Beal or not, it isn’t or won’t be impacted by anything that happens on Thursday night. For some teams, a huge part of their package may have been picks in Thursday’s draft but the Miami Heat don’t have it to offer, plain and simple.

So, while the Miami Heat still may be at the top of his preferred list and unlike some other teams, it doesn’t work to his advantage… or not, to wait beyond Thursday’s NBA Draft to request the move. While Sheppard tends to think or wants to sell that both Westbrook and Beal will be in Washington next season, a rebuild is probably closer to the reality than it isn’t for the Wizards.
