Proposed Tyler Herro trades the Miami Heat could do: Indiana Pacers

Herro, Achiuwa, Iguodala for Brogdon

This trade was proposed by Last Word on Sports. They suggest a deal that sends Tyler Herro to Indiana in exchange for Malcolm Brogdon.

Herro is joined by Precious Achiuwa and Andre Iguodala in this deal. Meanwhile, the Miami Heat get a starting point guard.

Brogdon is a great player, and more importantly, a great shooter. Having someone who can shoot as efficiently as Brogdon would be huge for the Miami Heat.

He’s also an above-average playmaker, averaging 5.9 assists last season. He possesses all the qualities the Heat are looking for in a starting point guard.

However, this would be a lot to give up for the nearly 29-year-old guard. Would he make the Miami Heat a better team right now? Yes. But the Heat have to think about the future, too.

Herro is only 21 years old. He has all the potential in the world and could end up being an All-Star caliber player one day.

On top of that, the Miami Heat would be giving up on Achiuwa. Though he hasn’t done much, he has the potential to be a solid backup center.

The Miami Heat should definitely consider a trade for Brogdon, but they should try to get more in return. Someone like Justin Holiday or Edmond Sumner could be thrown in to help with depth.

Pass or pursue?: Brogdon is the perfect point guard, but pass on this specific deal
