The Miami Heat have found themselves thrust to the forefront of one of the latest rumors to set the rumor mill ablaze. With Ben Simmons on his way out of Philadelphia, it seems according to reports, the Miami Heat might just be at the top of the list to land his services.

With that thought though, many begun to ponder on Jimmy Butler‘s time playing with Ben Simmons already. Based on the way that situation ended, most tend to think that Jimmy Butler and Ben Simmons can’t play together.

That isn’t neccessarily the case though and the reasoning isn’ that compex. Here’s why Jimmy Butler would be able to play with Ben Simmons and play well, if he were ever to be traded over from the Philadelphia 76ers.

The Miami Heat might be at the very top of the list of teams to land Ben Simmons. If they were able to, Jimmy could play with Ben.

First off, the Miami Heat aren’t the Philadelphia 76ers. When it comes to who is running that team, how they are being ran, and the expectations that are set for the from Day One, there is a world of difference between the two programs.

Secondly though and as far as why you don’t have to worry about Jimmy and Ben, it’s because this is clearly Jimmy Butler’s team. Though he doesn’t neccessarily operate this way, he had to, sort of, massage his way around that situation in Philly, with him being the newcomer and all.

Now and in Miami, this is his team and they want to do things the way that Jimmy Butler does them, the hard way, so what he would think or say here is what would stand. It’s really that simple.

Ben Simmons can resist, but at the end of day, Jimmy Butler has the hearts of those making the final calls… in Miami. That’s why there would not be an issue bringing Ben Simmons into the fold here, because everyone knows who’s team this is and everyone else should know to fall in line behind him.
