The 2021 NBA free agency period officially begins on August 2. The Miami Heat will surely look to add pieces in their pursuit of their fourth NBA title as a franchise.

One player that will be on the market is Brooklyn Nets guard, Spencer Dinwiddie, who may be able to help the Heat in their championship endeavors. The Heat have shown interest in Dinwiddie and they will pursue him if they miss out on the Kyle Lowry sweepstakes, according to the Miami Herald.

As an attractive free agent market, the Miami Heat will probably have many options to choose from, in terms of signing good players. The geography and financial benefit of Miami make it a big market for free agents.

The Heat should look to bring in an all star this offseason, such as Kyle Lowry or Bradley Beal. But if they are unable to get one of these players, Spencer Dinwiddie could be a great addition to the team.

However and even though Dinwiddie has great potential as a player, there is some risk involved with signing him to a big contract.
