The Miami Heat are in the throws of one of the most exciting parts of the NBA calendar year, the offseason. Players, it seems, around this time every year, this offseason has been no different.

With the Miami Heat looking to make a splash this summer, they have found themselves as apart of mostly every rumored conversation about an impact guy that may be looking to make a move. One of those names and a guy that has been in the Heat’s crosshairs since last season, it seems, is Kyle Lowry.

Well, that whole fiasco just got a bit more interesting. After a few weeks of postering, positioning, and reports about the rather large salary he’ll look to command over three years, 30 Million according to reports, there is a clear direction being reported.

From a reporter that covers one of the other teams that were at the top of the list to sign him, the Dallas Mavericks, a report came about who is actually at the very top of the list. Here it is, per Mavericks reporter, Grant Afseth.

Well, that’s quite the good bit of information to have if you are the Miami Heat or a fan. Or… is it?

The Miami Heat need a three level score and a point guard, which Kyle Lowry is. However, is it worth the asking price to nab him?

The reason that this is a question, again, is because of what are expected to be rather hefty requests and requirements from Lowry. At three years and 90 million dollars, that’s a ton of money for a guy with Lowry’s tread on the tires.

However, the addition of Lowry would make the Heat one of the better teams in the East and the entire league, thus leaving them more than capable of competing for a title. The Miami Heat need a point guard, a three level-scorer, and another impact guy, overall.

Kyle Lowry is certainly all of the above. To say he is not… is simply hating or you don’t know what you are looking at.

The question is this. Will he still be that across all three years of the reported $90 million he wants, or are you paying for three and getting fewer?

It’s a tough question and thankfully, folks much more deeply woven into it have to make the call. At the very least, mixed feelings about it all wouldn’t be the most inappropriate thing in the world.
