The Miami Heat are making their rounds and early. Just a short time into NBA Free Agency, they have already shaken things up mightily around the league.

Not only have they re-signed Jimmy Butler up for four more years, via extension, but they brought back Duncan Robinson for five more years and in addition to bringing in Kyle Lowry for three. They aren’t done though, but of course, as they now need to fill out the remainder of the roster.

In true Miami Heat and Pat Riley fashion, it will be with versatile, tough, and willing veterans who know how to fill a role to maximize it. There is one name that is bubbling up that fits those parameters.

It’s one of the NBA’s premiere tough guys too. Here’s a hint, there is another NBA player that looks exactly like he does?

The Miami Heat are doing major roster work, but need efficient vets to fill the holes. Markieff Morris qualifies and should be a priority at this point.

Here’s the answer, per Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald.

"Per source, Heat has made an offer to Markieff Morris, who has a home in South Florida. He would fill Heat’s power forward role if he takes it. But he has several offers and hasn’t made a decision."

Well, well, well. While some prefer the other twin over this one, either of them are more than capable of helping a team with big aspirations. As far as Markieff goes though, he could be an invaluable addition to the Miami Heat.

He can hit a shot. He can play big if need be.

He’s rough, tumble, and never runs away from the madness. He’s a real Miami Heat guy already, if there ever was one.

Guys like Pat Riley, Erik Spoelstra, Jimmy Butler, and Kyle Lowry would love him. He stands for everything that they stand for and seems to be made of the right stuff too.
