The Miami Heat are living the good life right now. As the NBA’s Free Agency period opened up, it almost seemed inevitable when it came to their biggest move.

Landing Kyle Lowry in what is gong to be a sign and trade deal, the Miami Heat now have a true point guard and a guy capable of scoring at all three levels for them. That means that he’ll be a guy that can stop the bleeding or hit a big shot in a clutch moment for them or simply, another option that makes the rest of their options that much more effective.

They also brought back their shooting, toughness, size, and added a bit more. Bringing back Duncan Robinson on a lucrative deal, they also brought back Dewayne Dedmon, Gabe Vincent, and Max Strus from last seasons team.

A new face to the Miami Heat will be P.J. Tucker, signed by the Miami Heat for two years and for $15 million across those two years. What’s the point of all of this though?

The Miami Heat have cleaned up so far in NBA Free Agency. They may be leading the pack when it comes to the best of any team thus far.

What it means is this. The Miami Heat are probably the leaders in the clubhouse, for lack of better terms, when it comes to which NBA team is having the best offseason so far.

When it comes to filling a team’s needs, while maximizing the resources that it took to get those deals done, the Miami Heat are right there if not at the top. They got the Lowry deal done for what will be Goran Dragic and Precious Achiuwa.

They signed Duncan Robinson to a deal that was, at least, two to four million dollars cheaper than what he could have gotten anywhere else, and they brought in/back essential-type pieces like the other guys named for money that still leaves them with more money to grab a few more vets.

They are winning, plain and simple. With an offseason like the one they are having and if they can maintain this pace, they’ll do a lot more winning in the regular season too.
