Miami Heat Culture: Past Examples Of Why They’ll Always Be Around And Competitive

If you need examples, they are there. The Miami Heat are riddled with them, no pun intended when you see this first one.

Look at Hassan Whiteside. Though a mighty fall from where he was a few years back with Miami, he came from a place that was lower than where he finds himself now.

Infamously, just “trying to get” his “2k rating up” and playing ball in a local North Carolina YMCA, in his hometown, the Miami Heat proceeded to help him become a $100 million dollar man in the NBA. Now and though things didn’t pan out how a lot would have hoped for, it happened and they were responsible for helping him see his full potential.

The same situation is true with Kendrick Nunn. Now heading to LA, here is a post from his social media page that says it better than anyone else could.

He went from undrafted, to key member of an NBA Finals team, to now, a guy with a new deal in Los Angeles to do what he loves for five million a year. Duncan Robinson‘s story is better than that one, so far.

He went from Division III college, to undrafted guy himself, and now, a $90 million dollar man in his own right. It’s really quite remarkable, but what would be expected from a top-5 shooter in the entire game… or better.
