Kyle Lowry joined the Miami Heat on day one of free agency. They signed him to a three-year deal worth around $90 million, according to Adrian Wojnarowski.

The six-time All-Star will join Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo in Miami in their pursuit of another championship. PJ Tucker also signed on to help round out the expected starting lineup.

He will have some big expectations as he’ll be making nearly $30 million per year in his late-30s. Lowry hasn’t shown any signs of slowing down, but as he approaches the age of 40, anything could happen.

All eyes are going to be on Lowry next season. So, with that in mind, what goals should he have going into next season?

Goals for Kyle Lowry with the Miami Heat next season: 15+ points

Considering his track record, this isn’t exactly a loft goal for Kyle Lowry to hit. However, with the amount of talent around him, this should be what the veteran guard is aiming for next season.

Lowry has never needed to average 30 points for his impact to be felt. Players like Jimmy Butler, Bam Adebayo, and Tyler Herro can handle most of the scoring.

All he has to do is play his part, and averaging at least 15 points per game does exactly that. The last time he didn’t reach that mark was during the 2018-19 season – when the Raptors won a championship.

Unfortunately, the Heat don’t have an elite scorer like Kawhi Leonard was that season. Therefore, Lowry will likely have to take on a slightly larger load.

If he can hit 15 points per game, Miami will be golden. There are plenty of other areas he can help them in on top of that.
