The Miami Heat landed the biggest fish of free agency in Kyle Lowry. He signed a three-year, $90 million deal with Miami at the start of free agency.

It had been rumored that they had been recruiting him to the city for a long while. His friendship with Jimmy Butler is likely what ended up drawing him to the Heat.

He brings championship experience and veteran leadership to the team. His playmaking and three-point shooting will greatly improve Miami’s offense.

Lowry is one of the best point guards in the NBA and knows what it takes to win. He will surely be able to help the Miami Heat fight for the Eastern Conference crown.

Not only this, but he will have the opportunity to make those around him better. Who will benefit the most from Lowry joining the Heat?

Miami Heat players who will benefit from Kyle Lowry: Max Strus

Max Strus has the potential to be an elite three-point shooter. Now he will have the ability to play alongside one of the better playmakers in the NBA.

He played with Jimmy Butler last season, but he could be primed for a bigger role this year. Strus earned a two-year contract, and it seems as though the Miami Heat have a good deal of faith in his ability to develop into a solid player.

Playing with someone of Lowry’s caliber should get him some more open looks on the perimeter. All he has to do is learn from Duncan Robinson some more and he’ll be golden.

Having not one, but two elite playmakers to pass him the ball will only make his life easier. Strus should be set up for a breakout year.
