Both players are capable of having an impact with the Miami Heat in multiple settings. While they’re primarily three-point specialists, Strus and Vincent have demonstrated a willingness to hustle and defend for every minute they’re on the floor.

However, with Miami’s current rotation and increased talent pool, they might need to take their abilities to the next level and be even more dynamic.

The Miami Heat are lacking in reserve slots for both a reliable point guard and a wing. Vincent and Strus are more than likely to inhabit those roles. If they do, they will have to string together consistent performances on a level that we haven’t seen, yet.

With the offseason experience both players are receiving, whether it’s through Olympic play or in Summer League, they have a great opportunity to showcase their development.

This is a great opportunity, as they weren’t able to find much time for development last year due to the pandemic and COVID restrictions.

Whether they can answer when their number is called remains to be seen. Either way, the Miami Heat have options, and there won’t be a better time to experiment than with a starting record of 0-0 to open the 2021-22 season.
