The dust of free agency has finally settled and the NBA offseason is slowly, but surely, coming to an end. Miami Heat Summer League games are up and running and the most entertaining parts of the offseason are in the past.

That being said, there’s still plenty of time for things to change. Teams can still make trades, sign undrafted free agents, and change up their roster before the season starts.

Miami made some big-time moves this summer. They brought in Kyle Lowry and signed a couple more veterans. They could be serious title contenders next year, but what if there was something they could do to get even better?

Pat Riley could still pull off a trade this offseason when everyone least expects it. What are some trades the Heat could do to improve their NBA Finals odds?

Sometimes trades are less about bringing stars to a city and more about filling out the roster. This trade does exactly that.

Obviously, trading for DJ Augustin and Danuel House is not flashy in the slightest. However, it does give the Miami Heat some great depth which they lack at the moment.

Augustin would be the backup point guard behind Kyle Lowry. As of now, they don’t have a backup point guard outside of Gabe Vincent.

House would provide some quality wing depth because the Heat don’t have a ton of that either. He can knock down a three and play solid defense – that’s all the Heat should be looking for in a rotational player.
